Sheer Fabrib

The Spring /Summer 2010

This season has a very feminine feel to the clothing with an eclectic mix of both soft and bold printed dresses, but keep the accessories to a minimum. Make sure, if choosing a print, that it is not too large or small for your overall scale; you should be wearing the dress, and not the dress wearing you !

Asymmetric shoulder lines are shown in both tops and dresses - these  shapes work well for those with more angled features, so if you are more contoured be careful.

Sheer fabrics in muted nude tones are in abundance this season, also:  light golds, soft beige, cream, cool taupe, cool silver and pale hints of pink.  These colours look fantastic in the chiffons, crepe silks and jersey shown in various designers' ranges.  Make sure, if you are a cool tone hair and skin person, that you choose the
right cooler tones, and likewise if you are of a warmer hair and skin tone, that you go for a more golden shade, as opposed to a cooler one.

For those of  you who have managed to maintain a slimmer waist /hip then you will look great in the season's high-waisted pencil skirts. If you have a larger or low bust this may not be the most flattering look for you, but there is still a style for everyone this season so do not panic!

The softer fabrics are great for those of you with curves, and the trench or safari style dress is great for boyish shapes. The return of the jumpsuit gives an alternative to dresses or separates and can, if choosing the correct shape, make you look taller -  those of you who are new to it will find it easy to wear and can dress it up or down with good accessories; for those who wore it the first time round, it will no doubt bring back great memories!
